Nashville, Tn — Most of the time when I’m traveling on my Harley, I look for budget hotels like Super 8. Some of my other favorites are Econo-Lodge, Quality Inn, Motel 6 and so on. They usually have a good clean room for good value. It’s a “hit or miss” kind of thing, but most of the time it’s no problem.
On this occasion, I booked this room at the Super 8 on Old Hickory Blvd/Whites Creek, to attend a late night Nashville Predators Hockey game. We were unable to find a room in downtown Nashville, so we chose this facility, as it was just outside of Nashville, and was convenient for me to drive back to Clarksville the next morning.
I was very impressed with this facility. Although, the room cost a little more than I’m accustomed to paying at a Super 8, it definitely was a good choice.
Super 8 has all the basics covered. It is a budget facility. The room was clean, the carpet was clean, the sheets were fresh and the mattress was comfortable. There were plenty of towels and washcloths and the heating and air unit worked just fine. Even their internet connection was surprisingly strong, (and you know how I feel about hotel wi-fi).
The staff were friendly and professional. The morning breakfast was good. Plenty of parking and the convenience of a Mexican restaurant next door, plus three convenient stores nearby. There’s also a wonderful Cajun restaurant just down the road on Whites Creek named Richards’ and you will absolutely love the place!
I would recommend this facility if you’re traveling through the Nashville area, located on I-24 at Old Hickory Blvd/Whites Creek.
